Toad Lodge began with a vision to create a unique holiday experience nestled in the heart of south Cumbria's beautiful landscape. Originally built for extended family, Toad Lodge has grown into a welcoming retreat that stands apart from other holiday cottages in the area.
What makes us special? Our unparalleled location at the end of Pennington Reservoir, just 3 miles from Ulverston and the Lake District National Park — offering daily osprey sightings, abundant wildlife, and invigorating walks through stunning countryside.
We strive to offer a quiet and peaceful retreat where every guest enjoys a memorable and rejuvenating stay. With a focus on comfort, warmth, and personalised touches, Toad Lodge is a true home away from home.
Up to 4 well-behaved dogs are very welcome, and our large enclosed 1-acre garden gives them room to roam safely.
